BPSC Teacher Recruitment Eligibility Criteria 2023
Primary Teacher (PRT)
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree in Elementary Education from a recognized university. Candidates with a B.Ed degree in Special Education are also eligible.
- Age Limit: 18 to 37 years
Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in the concerned subject with 50% marks from a recognized university and B.Ed degree from a recognized university or institute.
- Age Limit: 21 to 37 years
Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)
- Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in the concerned subject with 50% marks from a recognized university and B.Ed degree from a recognized university or institute.
- Age Limit: 21 to 37 years
Additional Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be proficient in English and Hindi.
- Candidates must be physically fit to perform the duties of a teacher.
- Candidates must not have been convicted of any moral turpitude.
Relaxation in Age Limit
- There is an age relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
- There is an age relaxation of 10 years for candidates with a disability.
- There is an age relaxation of 10 years for veterans and their dependents.
